How is our water protected?

Congress has enacted several important environmental laws to protect our Nation's waters. The act solely responsible for the protection of our drinking water is the Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974. This law developed national standards for drinking water quality, set monitoring and reporting requirements for public water systems, and set regulations for underground injection fluids.

The US EPA is the federal organization responsible for drinking water.

The EPA responded to SDWA by establishing:

  • National Primary Drinking Water Regulations - federal standards which protect the public against water contaminants posing a risk to human health.
  • National Secondary Drinking Water Regulations - federal guidelines to assist public water systems in managing aesthetics such as taste, odor, and color, which do not present a human health risk.
  • Provisions for state implementation and enforcement of the drinking water regulations.

 

Choosing a water treatment system

There is no question that the best option for the health conscious, environmentally and economically concerned consumer is a point of use (P.O.U.) water treatment system. But, there are so many systems on the market! And understanding the many product performance claims can be confusing. G.E.T. recommends consumers look for the following before purchasing a drinking water treatment system:

  • The system must meet strict public health and performance standards
  • California Certification - for health related claims, confirming that products perform as advertised and therefore can be marketed and sold in the state of California
  • FDA Components - ensure the water treatment system is made of FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved materials
  • USA Made - confirming the product was made in the USA and supporting socially just business practices
  • Recycling Program - inquire if the drinking water treatment manufacturer offers a recycling program for their used filter cartridges, thereby, preventing used filter cartridges from entering the ecosystem and continuing the cycle of contamination
  • Cost - clean water is everyone's right and people should not have to pay bottled water prices for clean water

 

TerraFlo® Warranty

TerraFlo's - TerraTopCBLX countertop and SubTerraneanI CBLX under the counter water treatment systems are warranted for one (1) year from the date of purchase (except for the filter cartridge which is warranted for 30 days) against all defects in materials and workmanship, when used in compliance with our owner's manual and G.E.T.'s customer service recommendations. A full money back 30 day guarantee will be offered to you from the original date of purchase if you are not completely satisfied with your TerraFlo® product. No product may be returned for credit after 30 days from the original date of purchase. Note: Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

 

The Global Recycling Program™

The Global Recycling ProgramTM is G.E.T.'s used cartridge recycling program. G.E.T.'s recycling program is the only one of its kind. We designed it with all of us in mind; you, our customer, G.E.T. the manufacturer and the environment.

G.E.T. will provide a prepaid shipping label within the box of every new TerraFlo® replacement cartridge allowing you to return your used cartridge free of charge via UPS.

The prepaid label is called an ARS or authorized return service label. Fill out the FROM: section on the label, affix this label to the box and give the package to any UPS delivery person. If a UPS delivery person does not come to your home or place of business, you may drop the package off at a UPS terminal, a UPS drop off box or a Mail Boxes Etc. or Postal Annex type of business which uses UPS. UPS drivers are instructed to accept this package without a pickup record because it is prepaid by Global Environmental Technologies.

G.E.T. receives the used cartridges at our Recycling, Assembly and Distribution Center and separates the three components of the cartridge onto its designated recycling piles, the carbon, rubber and plastic to be returned to different vendors/recyclers for recycling.

The cartridge, including the materials are and can never be reused in a potable or drinking water application. They are recycled to prevent these materials from being thrown in the trash and continuing the cycle of contamination.

Your participation in our program of cartridge recycling keeps your water safe, healthy and good tasting while demonstrating your commitment to a clean environment.

 

Return Merchandise Policy

Any merchandise being returned to G.E.T. must be issued an RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization) number by calling G.E.T.'s customer service department at 610-821-4901.

Any merchandise being returned to G.E.T. without an RMA# will be returned freight collect.

For all returns, please include in the return package, a copy of your original proof of purchase, i.e., invoice, packing list, sales receipt, copy of warranty card, etc., the RMA#, and to the best of your ability, a detailed description of the damage or defect. Please return the package US Mail Insured Only or U.P.S.

Any TerraFlo product which is damaged or contain manufacturers defects will be received by G.E.T., checked in, inspected and depending on your preference, will be replaced at no charge or a credit or refund would be issued for the full purchase amount.

Deducting credits automatically from invoices without G.E.T. receiving, evaluating, and determining the status and condition of the returned product is unauthorized. G.E.T. will issue a credit memo for product which is in new and marketable condition.

G.E.T. assumes no responsibility for incidental or consequential damages; for damages arising out of misuse of the product or the use of any unauthorized attachment; or for damages resulting from use of the product with a defective water faucet.

G.E.T. cannot assume the responsibility for the errors of others. Any merchandise ordered incorrectly must be returned within 30 days of purchase and must be in new and marketable condition. We will charge your account with a 25% restocking charge on all returned goods.

Any non-stock item, i.e., custom installations are non-refundable.
